Ratings for the week Feb 12-Feb 18 in the US and UK

23 02 2007

House continues to grow thanks to it’s superfantabulous Idol lead in. Last week it overtook CSI, this week Grey’s Anatomy. In the UK, five have between now and March to knock up a promo saying they have the top 3 US dramas. Will they do it? My magic 8 ball tells me no.

1. American Idol (Tuesday), Fox, 31.2 million viewers.

2. American Idol (Wednesday), Fox, 28.89 million.

3. House, Fox, 25.99 million.

4. Grey’s Anatomy, ABC, 25.76 million.

5. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CBS, 22.71 million.

6. CSI: Miami, CBS, 19.9 million.

7. Desperate Housewives, ABC, 18.51 million.

8. Daytona Winners Circle, Fox, 16.4 million.

9. Survivor: Fiji, CBS, 16.08 million.

10. Deal Or No Deal (Monday), NBC, 16.07 million.

In the UK, the top three remained the same, and will do til the end of the time. In fact I actually wrote that part of the chart before I got hold of the numbers. The interesting stuff happens further down, where Top Gear is doing so well it manages to sneak into the top 5, Inspector Morse spin-off Lewis has a great debut, and something happened on the news that was so important, over 7 million watched. It may have had something to do with the 7/7 bombers, but I’m not 100% sure.

Primeval, Trial and Retribution and Waking the Dead were all off this week, and the return of Hotel Babylon was a little flat with 5.77 million, but I’m sure the BBC are happy with that.

1. Coronation Street (Mon), ITV1, 11.10 million viewers.

2. Eastenders (Mon), BBC1, 9.94 million viewers.

3. Emmerdale (Mon), ITV1, 8.89 million viewers.

4. Dancing On Ice, ITV1, 7.90 million viewers.

5. Top Gear, BBC2, 7.45 million viewers.

6. Lewis, ITV1, 7.44 million viewers.

7. Ten O’Clock News, BBC1, 7.43 million viewers.

8. The National Lottery Draws, BBC1, 7.34 million viewers.

9. Wild at Heart, ITV1, 7.32 million viewers.

10. Holby City, 7.27 million viewers.
